What’s this blog about?

Slang Spanish, or the Spanish that is spoken in the street, in day-to-day situations, is an endless source of joy for those who love the Spanish language.

When learning a language, there’s the boring part: the grammar, the endless lists of vocabulary, the tenses. And then there’s the fun part: the bad words, the funny expressions, what you hear in bars, in films, in the street.

That’s what this blog is about. It’s not a dictionary. It’s not a translator. It’s about words and expressions that don’t always come up in textbooks but are an important part of the spoken language.
